Bare Bones Session ~ Mooky the Staffordshire Bull Terrier on the Gold Coast

This one has been a long time in the planning with lots of re-scheduling due to weather, but we finally got it together and Mooky had his Bare Bones session at the Spit on the Gold Coast.

As often happens after rescheduling numerous times due to weather, we were treated to absolutely perfect weather on the day, almost as a reward for our patience! The sunshine was golden and was such a prominent feature of the images, I just love them.

Mooky’s owner Melody runs Barkroyal Boutique Pet Resort with her husband Craig, and Mooky is the eldest (14 years old at the time of the shoot) of I think nine doggy brothers and sisters! Mooky is living a life of retirement now as an office dog and meet and greeter in reception.

He did many years of agility, including competition and demonstraton for agility and obedience. He has appeared on television, in video and in newspapers, as well as helping out when his mum use to teach Puppy Classes as a socialisation dog and was her offsider at VIP Petfoods Dog Club for years.

I think it was high time he deserved his very own glamour shoot and oh my, he really turned it on for the camera! Perhaps it was a reminder of his superstar days? It always strikes me that as our dogs age, they seem to get that little bit more of the puppy in them. Mooky was definitely rocking his inner puppy!

It was really lovely for him to have an adventure at the beach all to himself and he had an absolute ball splashing along the beach, exploring the dunes and being a good boy posing up a storm for us.
