2012 Calendars

It’s that time of year again when you turn your trusty wall calendar over to December and suddenly realise “oh my, the year is almost over!” Never fear, I have a couple of different calendar options for you to get you sorted for 2012. You can purchase these online through the Red Bubble website.

The Pets calendar features images from client sessions in 2011. View and purchase the Pets Calendar.

For Luna fans, her annual calendar is filled with images from 2011 and includes a couple of special guests. December includes, as always, a special santa hat image. View and purchase Luna’s calendar.

If you’re a past client (doesn’t matter how far in the past) and would like a calendar featuring your pet only, I also create custom calendars using your images. You can either choose the images you want in the calendar yourself or leave it up to me. There is a $50 setup fee and calendars are then available for purchase online for $27 each + postage. Just send me an email to get the ball rolling!

Here’s a calendar I made for Albert the cancer survivor. You can view Albert’s blog post and read his story here.

I’m coming to Adelaide! 26-28 November 2010

If you’d love some beautiful, creative and candid photos of your favourite furry friend then let’s book you in for a session while I’m visiting. These sessions will be priced at my regular rate and will include the usual:

  • Photographers time and talent
  • On-location photo session for 1-2 subjects
  • Shooting time 30 minutes – 2 hours
  • Includes 1-2 locations i.e. home, local park, beach and dunes, urban or city, foreshore etc
  • The best 30 images (more for extra subjects) are carefully selected and edited to perfection
  • A mixture of colour and black & white images

I’ll be in town from Friday 26th November until Sunday 28th November. The remaining spots I have are:

  • November 27th – Saturday morning 6am

Gift certificates are available and remember that although I specialise in dogs, I also love photographing cats, horses and other furry friends. I also really delight in capturing the bond between you and your pet if you wish to be involved in the session as well.

The price for the session will be $550 (which includes a huge $300 order credit to spend on whatever prints and products you like).

If this sounds like just what you’ve been waiting for, get in quick as the opportunity to have your precious pal photographed by an award-winning specialist pet photographer doesn’t happen every day! Drop me a line at pix@charlottereeves.com.au or call me on 0402 322 973.

Here’s a few of my favourites from recent sessions to get you thinking.

Vote for me in the Paws and Claws Awards!

I’ve been nominated once again in this year’s 4th Annual Paws & Claws People’s Choice Awards! The awards are the largest pet and animal industry awards in Australia. The category description for First Class Pet Photographer is:

“This award is for a  fantastic and creative pet photographer that has a combination of artistic flair and modern creativity capturing the emotion of the moment.”

After winning the First Class Pet Photographer category in the 2009 Paws and Claws Awards, I’d love to receive the award two years running and like last year, I’m up against some stiff competition.

Unlike last year, nominees this year have the opportunity to offer additional prizes for voters and so far I have seen some great incentives on offer to vote for some of the other nominees. I’ve decided however that instead of offering prizes for voting for me, I’d like to receive votes based only on my merit as a photographer and small business owner.

I’m proud of my business and what I have achieved over the last few years, so feel that any votes I receive should be based on that rather than the prospect of winning a prize. After all, they are supposed to be the People’s Choice Awards! I would much rather give back to my supporters unconditionally by running my own little competitions and giveaways (as anyone who follows my work and my Facebook Page will know) as well as taking the time to provide some light entertainment and imagery through my blog and also Luna’s blog.

So, if you’d like to support me this year and cast your vote in the field of First Class Pet Photographer for Charlotte Reeves Photography, there will be no sub-competitions and prizes for voters, but I will pledge to continue supplying a friendly, professional and exciting service, all the while giving back to my friends, clients and supporters as I have always done.

To vote, you’ll need to fill out the official voting form on the Paws and Claws website. I’ve created a screenshot of how to fill out the bottom section of the form correctly, see below. Thanks for your vote!

The awards presentation will be held at the 8th Annual Gold Coast Pet & Animal Expo on the 5th September. I’m having a stall at the Expo and would love to meet you and your furry family members if you come and check it out.
