Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc.

If you are a horse enthusiast, you might be interested in this. This letter was passed onto me by a friend in order to raise awareness of this fantastic organisation and help them reach their donation goals so they can afford liability insurance, essential to keep them running. Here’s the open letter from the  Founder of the organisation which explains where they’re coming from and what they are aiming for.

Dear Supporters of Horses,

I am writing to you with a special appeal for Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc.

We are growing in strength and numbers, and building strong ties with the community. As a registered, sanctioned and incorporated organisation, we are required to hold insurance.

This insurance is expensive, and we need $1700 just for the basic public and property liability insurance, and another $1000 for additional insurance that will help protect our members.

We have delayed doing this because that amount of money in one hit was difficult for a new organisation to achieve in the first six months of operation. However, the time has come for us to do this.

Charlie’s Angels is one of only TWO official and sanctioned horse welfare charities in Queensland. We are fulfilling a vital role and helping to meet the gap in horse welfare and we will only get bigger from here.

I am appealing to you for some assistance to help us meet this cost so that we can continue to direct our much-needed funds to our horses.

Donations $2 and over are tax deductible.

If you can contribute any amount of money, it would be greatly appreciated at this time.

You can donate via internet transfer, cheque/money order or PayPal. Click HERE to be taken to payment options.

Thank you so much for your assistance in helping the horses.

Joanne Schoenwald

I’m coming to Melbourne!

UPDATE! All spots are now filled.

I’ve had a few enquiries from Melbournites lately so I’ve decided to book a trip for late February.

The remaining spots I have to fill are:

Friday 26th – Afternoon session (starting around 5-6pm)
Saturday 27th – Morning session (starting around 6.30am)
Filled!

Travel sessions are based on the $395 DVD Session which includes all final images posted to you on DVD, ready for both printing and sharing online. Photo products are still available if you wish to order them. A $100 deposit will be required to secure your booking, with the remaining payable before the session.

Don’t forget gift certificates are also available so if you know someone in Melbourne who you think deserves the gift of a photo session for their beloved pooch, let me know and we’ll get it organised!

If you are keen to book a shoot for some natural, candid and creative on-location photos of your dog or dogs (and don’t forget I also love photographing horses), contact me to find out more. Sessions are very limited and I’m not sure when I will next be back in Victoria, so get in quick!

New 2010 Calendar – Great Danes

By popular demand, I’ve also created a Great Dane calendar for 2010. All proceeds from calendar sales will go to Great Dane Rescue. Great Dane Rescue is a fantastic group of people who work together to find new forever homes for rescued Great Danes all over Australia.

2010 Calendars Now Available

Today I had the hard task of sitting down and choosing the final 12 image for Kaya’s 2010 calendar. I’ve had this idea since she passed away in March, but have not been able to bring myself to go ahead and finish the project off. Today, I thought enough was enough and that if I left it any longer, it would be too late for Christmas!

Kaya’s calendar is available for purchase on Red Bubble with all proceeds being donated to canine Cancer research. You can read more about Kaya and her battle with this terrible disease on her blog.

To purchase the calendar, please go to Kaya’s 2010 Calendar on Red Bubble.

I’ve also put together a selection of images of dogs that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing in 2009 from private client sessions. This calendar is also available for purchase on Red Bubble.
