Remembering ~ Levi the Hungarian Vizsla

I moved house a couple of weeks ago and took the opportunity to have a nice big clean-out of my belongings. I also culled a bunch of business-related stuff and ended up passing along some of my old product samples to my clients whose pets were featured. One of these was a big framed canvas of a Hungarian Vizsla that I photographed 4 years ago. Some of you might remember seeing Levi’s gorgeous face before?

Upon contacting Levi’s mum and dad, I learned that they’d tragically had to say goodbye to their boy just days beforehand. He was just 6 years old, but had been plagued with health issues since shortly after our session in 2009. I’m not sure if it was perfect timing (or really bad timing!) but it was certainly a bittersweet experience for both myself and Levi’s mum when I handed over the canvas.

I remember Levi as being super energetic, agile, water-loving, beautifully trained (he had many tricks in his repertoire that he was happy to demonstrate!) and so very handsome. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to document him in his prime. He lived a blessed life and was very much loved by his parents.

You will be greatly missed Levi, RIP xx

Here’s a few shots of him taken in February 2009.

I always maintain that if you are thinking about having some images taken of your pet that truly captures their personality plus all those little quirks and traits you love, please don’t delay! Time passes so quickly in our busy human lives that we often forget our furry friends are only around for a relatively short time. If you’re thinking about booking a session, please get in touch soon.
